Flower Essences

Evolutionary information of one plant species is contained in a Flower Essence

When the light of the Sun shines on the radiance of fresh flowers at the peak of their blooming cycle, layered on the surface of a bowl of pristine spring water, harmonic patterns of vibrant life force are imprinted in that water.

This is how a flower essence is prepared.

The evolutionary information of one plant species is what is contained in a Flower Essence, imparting its unique pattern of healing and integration.

This life force information imparts beneficial healing qualities that have positive impact on human beings, animals, plants and environments.

Simply prepared and inexpensive, flower essences were first developed by the British physician and researcher Dr Edward Bach.

Dr Edward Bach, creator of the Rescue Remedy or Five-Flower Formula, first developed contemporary Flower Essences in the UK in the 1930’s.

Life Force Information from Radiant Flowers

The flower marks a peak moment in the metamorphosis of the plant, as it moves from seed, to bud, to a grown plant, and eventually reaches beyond in both form and singularity, creating the potential for the continuation of its species – the flowering being the peak of its evolutionary process.

At the peak of their blooming cycle, fresh flowers are picked and placed in a bowl over clean spring water, where they remain under the sun for a number of hours.

The radiant life force emanating from the flowers is registered in the water, that serves as a carrier of this life force information.

After a few hours, the flowers are returned to the earth, and this liquid – the Mother Essence – now primed by this unique information, is preserved in a glass bottle to which 50% brandy is added as a preservative.

Diluted preparations impart unique healing information

A flower essence from a specific plant species offers unique healing information, related to the wisdom this plant species has acquired through its journey of continuous adaptation and evolution.

A range of flower essences is like a range of colors, each one unique, each one offering a specific resonance with our subtle field. Well chosen essences used with precision, facilitate awareness of our patterns, movement, alignment and dynamic balance, while awakening virtues, actions and new habits.

From Mother Essence to stock and dosage preparation

  • From very few drops of the original Mother Essence, the Stock Dilution is prepared. These are the small bottles you acquire, that allow for further dilution.

  • From this Stock Dilution, two drops of the stock essence for a 1oz / 30ml bottle (70% water and 30% brandy) produces the Dosage preparation, the dilution most often used for adults, children and animals.

In his book Bach Flower Essences and the Patterning of Water, Julian Barnard shares his sharp insights and experience, as someone who has been preparing Flower Essences for 4 decades.

Flower Essences impacts humans, animals and environments. They are used to help us move through change, awakening our intrinsic qualities, prompting evolution of our emotional and mental patterns, and alignment with our Higher Guidance.
